About BRAAC

The Blue Ribbon Analytical and Advisory Centre (BRAAC) was opened in July 2005 by the United Nations Development Programme. Blue Ribbon Commission (BRC) Reports, as well as the Government Action Plans and the EU-Ukraine Action Plan are used as a basis for the Centre’s activities in order to mobilize wide range of national and international partners in supporting market-oriented reforms and human development in Ukraine.  

The Centre is composed of five task forces.

Analytical and advisory products of the Centre are available to public.

Kyiv, 3 March 2010 - The Blue Ribbon Analytical and Advisory Centre published a policy brief “Free Trade Areas Versus Customs Union?”. This policy brief aims to analyze the option of Ukraine’s joining the Customs Union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, given it’s commitments to WTO and ongoing negotiation with the EU on establishment of a deep and comprehensive free trade area.

Kyiv, 25 February 2010 – BRAAC experts contributed to the conference “Commercial horticulture in Ukraine” hosted by the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB). The problems of production, processing and sales of vegetables, fruits and plants in Ukraine were discussed during the conference. The majority of participants stressed that Ukraine has mostly favourable background for the development of the sector.
